The Sages, Volume 3

In The Sages, Vol. III: The Galilean Period, Binyamin Lau paints vivid portraits of the some of the most central figures in the Talmud: the disciples of Rabbi Akiva. Featured in every tractate of the Talmud, these charismatic personalities kept Jewish tradition alive after Rabbi Akiva's tragic execution. Profoundly engaging, The Sages, Vol. III: The Galilean Period addresses questions of communal leadership in times of economic hardship, social inequity, cultural tension, and political struggle, issues entirely relevant to today's sociopolitical climate.
